Mr. Sciaroni is Senior Partner in Sciaroni & Associates, and also has served as Legal Adviser to the Royal Government of Cambodia since 1996, a position which has the rank of Minister.

Mr. Sciaroni is a founding governor and has served as Chairman of AmCham since 1996. He also serves as Chairman of the International Business Chamber. In addition, Mr. Sciaroni is Co-Chairman of the Working Group on Law, Tax and Good Governance, one of the mechanisms for private sector dialogue with the Royal Government. He has served in this capacity since 2000, along with his Co-Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister Keat Chhon, the Minister of Economy and Finance.

Mr. Sciaroni obtained his law degree from UCLA and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. He has lived and worked in Cambodia since 1993, making him the longest serving foreign lawyer in the country.

Pily, who lived in France (Paris) for over 20 years, is highly involved in the economic environment in Cambodia. He is the CEO of Hung Hiep (Cambodia) Co. Ltd, an important agriculture products exporter in the Kingdom and distributor of Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, E&J Gallo Winery (World no.1 selling red wines), and Lee Kum Kee (World leading Asian cooking sauces). He is also the owner of MDP Co. Ltd., an independent system integrator specialized in large accounts (banking industry, telecom industry and public sector) working closely with Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, SAP and Cisco.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Paris VI and a Bachelor’s degree in International Commerce with Asia Specialization from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations.

In his social career, he is a past President of the French-Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, he is the Vice-President of the ICT Federation of Cambodia, he is a Governor of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, and he is Vice President of the Cambodian Automotive Industry Federation.

Dararith Lim

Mr. Lim is the Market Development Manager/Country Representative in Cambodia for General Electric, a position he has held since February 2008.
Prior to his appointment at GE, he started his career in Australia as an Accountant with Faulding Ltd, Mayne Ltd in 1999 and subsequently joined Loscam (previously GE Returnable Packaging) as Group Accountant in 2003. He returned to Cambodia in 2004 and worked at the Ministry of Tourism of the Royal Government of Cambodia assisting in the area of marketing and promotion initiatives.
Born in Cambodia, Mr. Lim spent 23 years in Australia. In 1996 he graduated with a Bachelor in Social Science with a double major in Accounting and Information Management from the University of Melbourne in 1996. In 2002 received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Victoria.
He is married with one daughter.
Mr. Lim has been a member of the AmCham board in Cambodia since August 2009.

Michael G. Hayes

Michael G. Hayes

With more than 26 years residence in Asia and the Middle East, Mr. Hayes is a Senior Consultant with FM-International, a Finnish company providing technical advice to the Cambodian Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.
Previously, Mr. Hayes arrived in Cambodia in 1991 and co-founded the English-language Phnom Penh Post, the first independent newspaper in any language in the Kingdom since prior to the Khmer Rouge takeover of Phnom Penh in 1975. He remained publisher and editor-in-chief of the paper until he sold it in 2008. In addition to numerous articles published in the Post, Mr. Hayes has also written for the Far Eastern Economic Review, the International Herald Tribune, the Bangkok Post, the Straights Times, the Nation (Bangkok), and the Edge.
Mr. Hayes received his B.A. from the School for International Training in Vermont and his M.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He has lived, worked, studied and/or traveled in 45 countries around the globe. Mr. Hayes is a founding governor of AmCham Cambodia.

Mr. Rami Sharaf

Mr. Sharaf started his career in Pharmaceuticals in 1991, since then he worked for Novo Nordisk of Denmark till August 2009 in Israel, Palestinian territories, Jordan, Iraq and Pakistan.He Joined RMA Cambodia in 2009 the group representing among others leading American brands like Ford, Chevrolet, John Deere, Kohler and Swensen’s.
Mr. Sharaf obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from An-Najah National University and had very exclusive management and leadership courses through his career.
Mr. Sharaf is serving as an exclusive member of the International Business Chamber , and a founding member of the under registration CAIC “Cambodia Automotive Industry Chamber.”
He is Married with four kids.
He is a member of AmCham since 2009.

Daniel Mitchell

Daniel Mitchell

Based in Bangkok, with experience throughout the emerging markets of Asia, Daniel Mitchell is the CEO and Managing Director of SRP International Group Ltd., an investment, and advisory firm focused on developing opportunities in the emerging markets of Asia. Mr Mitchell has over 19 years of business experience in Asia in the areas of international finance, business planning, and program management in the automotive, aviation, general manufacturing, timber, agriculture and renewable energy sectors. From November 2008 through November 2012, Mr Mitchell served as the CEO of Grandis Timber Ltd., A Cambodian joint venture co-founded by SRP International Group and Capricorn Forest Fund K/S of Denmark. Utilizing Danish and Swedish pension fund capital, the operation was developed from a start-up into a leading plantation development, recognized for high financial returns and development of the best practices in the areas of social responsibility and environmental sustainability through its innovative approaches. SRP International Group maintains a consulting and advisory practice, focused in the areas of strategic and business planning, emerging market investment and business development, and corporate social responsibility, strategic planning and implementation. The industries of focus are automotive, general manufacturing, forestry, and renewable energy. Prior to joining SRP International Group, full-time in 2001, Mr Mitchell was the head of Strategic Planning and Mergers & Acquisitions for Ford Motor Company’s automotive components division, Visteon, based in their Tokyo offices. Prior to this, Mr Mitchell was a manager in charge of Strategic Planning for Mitsubishi Motors, in their Los Angeles office. Mr Mitchell began his career in Detroit as a Program Manager at ASC Inc., a specialty automotive manufacturing company, where he was in charge joint vehicle development program with Mitsubishi Motors. Mr Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration from Miami University (Ohio).

Gordon Peters
Managing Partner, Emerging Markets Consulting


As Managing Partner, Mr. Peters oversees business development and client project delivery for Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC) in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. Mr. Peters has been with EMC for four years, and has led a variety of projects across the business and development sectors. Mr. Peters’ work in Cambodia has included feasibility studies for major international businesses and investment companies, marketing and growth strategies for leading banks and MFIs, and sector assessments for leading development organizations. Mr. Peters started his career with the global strategy consulting firm Bain and Company at their Boston headquarters in 2000. In 2003, he started his own development consulting firm, working on a variety of ICT and sector growth projects in Africa, India, and across Southeast Asia. Mr. Peters is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Economics, with distinction.

Raymond Leos

Raymond Leos
Dean of the Faculty of Communications and Media Arts at Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC)


Raymond Leos is the Dean of the Faculty of Communications and Media Arts at Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC), and a Lecturer in International Relations at the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE). He has served as a Senior Advisor to the Office of the General Secretariat of the National Assembly of Cambodia, providing assistance and advice on inter-parliamentary affairs, regional and international policy issues, media/press relations, and parliamentary staff training and development. Over the past 12 years, Mr. Leos has also been a consultant for numerous development projects in Cambodia, including those funded by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asia Foundation, European Commission, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He has also been a technical advisor to various Cambodian governmental ministries and local NGOs, including the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, the Ministry of Justice, the Advocacy and Policy Institute (API), Cambodian Defenders Project (CDP) and the Khmer Institute of Democracy (KID). He has written articles, presented papers and has lectured extensively at numerous academic and professional conferences, both here in Cambodia and throughout the Asia Pacific region on such topics as developing legal frameworks for transparency, the role of access to information legislation in promoting good governance and economic growth, and the social, political and economic impact of new media technologies. Mr. Leos has a very diverse educational background, completing an undergraduate degree in history with honors from Claremont McKenna College, graduate work in film and television studies from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Theater, Film and Television, and a law degree from the University of California, Davis King Hall School of Law.
